75% of Americans say no to federally run national healthcare info database

Restructuring of healthcare will include a national healthcare information database. The Poneman Institute questioned 850 Americans:

• 75% do not support a database of private health information run by the federal government.
• 85% were not aware that such as system is being proposed.
• 56% want stricter laws to keep government out of medical records without proper consent
